The referees for the No. 21-ranked UCLA Bruins and No. 13-ranked Oregon Ducks recreation on Saturday appeared to miss a vicious late hit on UCLA quarterback Nico Iamaleava.

At one level in the recreation (which UCLA won via 17-15 upset), Oregon defenders Bear Alexander and Jerry Mixon mixed to sort out Iamaleava.

As they were bringing him to the floor, cameras caught Alexander winding up and delivering a brutal shot to Iamaleava’s face properly after he was already down. Alexander’s proper land proper on the UCLA quarterback‘s face-mask and clearly jolted his whole helmet.

Jerry Mixon also appeared to be delivering a punch while tackling Iamaleava on this same play. But his shot didn’t join, and it appeared to be more of him attempting to punch the soccer out of the quarterback’s grasp rather than a soiled hit.

Perhaps Alexander was going for the ball, as properly. But he missed by a lot if that was his meant goal, and the punch try came manner too late.

There was no penalty flag thrown on the play. And despite the whole alternate being replayed a number of occasions on the broadcast, the recreation’s commentators never talked about it, which further pissed off followers.

Iamaleava appeared to be high-quality afterwards, although he exited the same with an obvious leg harm in the second quarter and in the end missed the whole second half.

Despite not having their beginning quarterback for the closing two quarters, UCLA got the last snigger against Oregon, successful the recreation in a gorgeous upset.

Ultimately, the 5-0 UCLA squad got the last snigger by beating the 3-2 Ducks on their home area.
