The Dodgers dropped Game 1 of the National League Championship Series.

The Brewers wanted just two runs to beat the Dodgers Sunday. While two-time Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal outlasted NL Cy Young candidate Jacob Misiorowski on the mound, the Dodgers offense managed just a single run.

“Any loss in the playoffs is not great, but it’s a long series. It’s just the first game,” he said.

The Dodgers seem to have the edge in beginning pitching, but Skubal’s 5 innings wasn’t enough to fend off the Brewers. Milwaukee won Game 1 and it could be argued the Dodgers didn’t precisely assist themselves in the sequence opener.

The Dodgers were 1-for-6 with runners in scoring place and left 9 runners on base. Had LA capitalized on any one of these moments, the Dodgers seemingly would have won the sport.

The back-to-back World Series champions are already placing the previous behind them and have their sights set on Game 2.

“We got to focus on the task at hand, and that’s winning the game tomorrow,” Betts said.

The Dodgers deploy World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto as their Game 2 starter, giving them their finest likelihood to take a sport at American Family Field.
