If you thought the drama between The Real Housewives of Atlanta stars Kelli Potter and Angela Oakley was cooling off after Season 17, think again! The ladies may have taken their ongoing feud to a whole new level during Season 18 filming — and this time, a crutch was allegedly involved.
According to a Nov. 1 report from The Neighborhood Talk, a source close to Bravo production claims the two women were involved in a minor physical altercation while filming the upcoming season. And if the allegations are true, one housewife may have turned her walking aid into an unexpected weapon.
Here’s what allegedly happened between Kelli and Angela, according to the source.
According to TNT’s Managing Editor De’Asia Robinson, the source claimed “that there was a minor altercation between the girls” and that during their scuffle “Kelly bopped Angela with her crutches.”
Dee went on to share a photo of Kelli wearing crutches, noting that The Neighborhood Talk reached out to the housewife for comment but received no response.
According to the source, production also reportedly sat down with both women following the alleged altercation to discuss what happened, although it remains unclear whether any disciplinary action was taken. Angela, however, appeared unfazed when Dee spoke with her at Bravo Fan Fest, suggesting that if the alleged crutch incident did happen, it hadn’t seemed to bother her.
But the tea did not end there – the source claimed a former housewife allegedly offered to film with the Season 18 cast for “free.”
The source also teased even more potential drama, claiming that a former housewife unexpectedly showed up during the cast’s Bahamas trip and offered to film with the ladies for “free.” The mystery woman’s identity remains unclear, but the source suggested she had been invited by someone currently on the cast. And if that wasn’t enough, another potential housewife is reportedly being spotted out and about with the cast at various events. Apparently, Season 18 is already serving up plenty of tea before cameras even finish rolling.

Is NeNe Leakes the Mystery Housewife?
Naturally, fans immediately started playing detective when the report surfaced, with some suggesting that former peach holder NeNe Leakes could be the mystery woman allegedly interested in making an appearance.
The speculation gained attention after a fan claimed to have spotted NeNe at the airport with Phaedra Parks while the cast was reportedly traveling to the Bahamas.
However, NeNe wasn’t having any of the speculation.
“Desperate it could NEVER be me,” Leakes responded to a #RHOA fan that claimed she was the “fired housewife” begging to join the cast on their Bahamas trip.
Fans also pointed to Kenya Moore, who recently visited the Bahamas
Meanwhile, other fans floated Kenya Moore’s name as another possibility, pointing to photos and videos of the former housewife vacationing in the Bahamas with her daughter, Brooklyn, around the same time as the cast trip.
As previously reported, Kenya was suspended and removed from The Real Housewives of Atlanta following an incident in 2024 involving sexually explicit, poster-sized images of rookie cast member Brittany Eady displayed during the grand opening of Kenya Moore Hair Spa.
Whether either former housewife had anything to do with the alleged Bahamas appearance remains unclear, but notably in August, Cohen told fans during an episode of his Radio Andy show that he “missed” Moore. “I’m thinking about her all the time,” he added.
Could a comeback be in the works? Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
Kelli Potter and Angela’s Feud Didn’t Start With a Crutch
While the alleged Season 18 altercation has certainly raised eyebrows, Kelli Potter and Angela Oakley’s tension is nothing new. The two women have had their fair share of disagreements throughout Season 17, and their reunion drama appeared to spill well beyond the Bravo cameras.
Back in August, ahead of part two of the highly anticipated reunion, the women took their back-and-forth to social media, trading pointed remarks and accusations involving real estate, foreclosure claims and their personal lives.
Kelli appeared to take aim at one of Angela’s properties that appeared to be in pre-foreclosure, sharing a pointed message that quickly caught fans’ attention.
“This is the $2 million house we’re speaking of?” Kelli captioned a screenshot of the listing that was labeled as a “pre-forclosure/action,” property.
She then added:
“BABY This is your MARITAL HOME, not an investment property,” before following up with another shady question:
“That was in foreclosure and up for auction…correct?”
Kelli also took aim at Angela’s finances, writing:
“So before we discuss finances (which is weird, with your lifetime ban from FINRA and all?), My home, or MY real-life struggles…make sure we’re bringing EVERYTHING to the forefront.”
Angela Oakley Fires Back Over the Real Estate Claims
Angela wasn’t about to let those comments slide.
On X, she denied that the property Kelli referenced was in foreclosure and offered her own explanation of the home’s financial situation.
Angela reportedly clarified that the property was an investment home she purchased herself, claiming it had more than $1 million in equity and had recently undergone a major renovation funded with $500,000 in cash. She also explained that she and her husband still own their marital home, along with other rental properties.
In other words, Angela wanted to make it clear that the property Kelli was discussing was not the same as the couple’s marital residence.
But the real estate discussion wasn’t the only thing Angela wanted to address.
She also turned the conversation back toward Kelli, taking personal shots and bringing up the reported FINRA ban Kelli had previously been accused of facing.
And then things became even more personal.
In another social media post, Angela Oakley made an additional accusation involving Kelli Potter and a deeply sensitive family matter, claiming that Kelli never reached out to her following the death of her mother.
And Season 18 Hasn’t Even Started!
Between the alleged crutch incident, mystery former housewife rumors, Bahamas speculation and a social media feud that refuses to take a vacation, #RHOA fans already have plenty to discuss, and one thing is certain: if this is the kind of tea being spilled before Season 18 even premieres, Atlanta may have a very eventful season ahead.
