The Spurs are making certain their star guard sticks around for years to come.
Point guard De’Aaron Fox agreed to a four-year, $229 million most extension with San Antonio on Monday afternoon, retaining him under contract through the 2029-30 season, according to ESPN.
The Spurs acquired the one-time All-Star and All-NBA choice from the Kings last season. He appeared in 17 video games for his new team before being shut down for the season due to finger surgical procedure.

Fox averaged 19.7 factors and 6.8 assists per recreation in his quick time in a Spurs jersey before the damage.
Before being dealt to San Antonio, which was per his request, Fox averaged 25 factors, 6.1 assists and 5.0 rebounds per recreation with the Kings.

While the one-time All-Star performed just 5 video games with Spurs celebrity Victor Wembanyama, the two are said to have developed a shut relationship and will be the leaders of a younger team trying to blossom into a contender.
The 27-year-old Fox will also be the chief of a younger backcourt he’ll share with Stephon Castle and Dylan Harper.

The former UConn Huskie Castle is coming off a Rookie of the Year season in which he averaged 14.7 factors, 4.1 assists and 3.7 rebounds per recreation.
Harper was the No. 2 decide in June’s NBA draft out of Rutgers, where he averaged 19.4 factors, 4.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists per recreation on 48.4 % taking pictures from the subject and 33.3 % from deep.

While all three guards are naturally ball-dominant, the 6-foot-6 frames of Harper and Castle should present flexibility alongside the 6-foot-3 Fox, which is actually what San Antonio is banking on with Fox’s extension.
Fox is getting into his ninth NBA season and is just one of two gamers to common 20 factors, 5 assists and a steal in each of the previous six seasons, alongside with Luka Doncic.
