MILWAUKEE — St. Norbert School’s Ben Chan, a professor of philosophy, had 5 wins in a row on Jeopardy! below his belt Wednesday, and whereas manufacturing guidelines barred him from saying how for much longer that streak would proceed, his strong run had already certified him to participate within the upcoming Jeopardy! Match of Champions.

“I’ve been a fan since I was a little kid,” Chan mentioned. “One of my friends put it best — it’s hard to live in America and not even accidentally watch hundreds of hours of Jeopardy!”

Chan had gained roughly $157,000 on the present as of Wednesday, and he mentioned his calm demeanor on the present was partially attributable to all his preparation forward of time.

“In general, I’m a pretty nervous preparer, whether I’m preparing for a party, I’ll be very nervous all day, getting my house ready,” Chan mentioned. “But once the party comes, I’m able to relax and just have fun, and I found the experience was pretty similar with Jeopardy!”

On Monday, Chan gained $60,000, which host Mayim Bialik instructed viewers that was the second-highest one-day quantity this season.
