Terry Bradshaw provided a resolution Sunday for the Patriots to contemplate if Drake Maye continues to wrestle.

Sit him.

Maye led New England to a Super Bowl look last 12 months in his second NFL season, but he came into this week with just one landing cross and six interceptions during the Pats’ 1-2 begin.

“Sometimes you get into such a rut that you lose your confidence, which is what’s happening. Sometimes, you have to bench ’em,” Bradshaw said Sunday on the Fox pregame present. “You just sit him down.

“Doesn’t mean he’s not your No. 1. You just sit him down and take that focus…That’s how you keep going forward.”

Fellow panelist and Giants legend Michael Strahan argued “that’s hard” because Maye was an MVP candidate last season while taking the team to the Super Bowl before dropping to the Seahawks, including it would be “very hard to bench him at this point.”

The third-year quarterback, who entered Week 4 with one landing and six interceptions, had an up-and-down effort against the Bills, but finally performed nicely enough when it mattered to engineer a late comeback victory.

Maye completed the recreation going 22-for-37 and recording 269 passing yards with three touchdowns to one interception.

While trailing 26-21, Maye linked with Efton Chism III to full an eight-play, 73-yard drive with 1:50 to go, giving New England the lead, which prolonged to 29-26 following a two-point conversion from Maye to Rhamondre Stevenson.

New England is now 2-2 to start the season.

Maye is backed up by former Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito, who made eight begins for them in 2023 and 2024.
