Halloween fans have been flocking to Los Angeles pumpkin patch that has been providing fun for the whole family for nearly 40 years.

Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch, which first launched in 1987, has become a seasonal staple in Culver City after stints in Westwood and near the border of Beverly Hills and West Hollywood.

“Becky and David Campbell, drawing inspiration from their farm in Silverton, Oregon, originally opened the patch in Westwood when they realized how few opportunities there were for Los Angeles-area children to experience farm life at an urban pumpkin patch,” a description on the patch’s website reads.

Becky’s daughter, Lyra Marble, took over the business in 2001, later enlisting her father, Steven, to help with its design.

“Mr. Bones is great for pictures and we love the farm vibe and location,” said mom Andrea, who visited on Monday with her husband, Nate, and 5-year-old son, Ismael. “I feel like I’m in the countryside within the city.”

A Dia de los Muertos celebration is planned at the patch October 25, complete with traditional merriment for the Mexican holiday.

The pumpkin patch is located at 10100 Jefferson Blvd. in Culver City.
