Giants interim head coach Mike Kafka will interview for the Buccaneers offensive coordinator emptiness, according to a Fox Sports report.
Kafka interviewed last week for the Giants’ full-time head coach place, though focus in that search has shifted to the pursuit of free agent John Harbaugh.
Kafka has not interviewed for any of the other seven head coach vacancies, which is a unusual twist after he was a candidate for head coach with eight franchises from 2023-25, including when he was a non-play-calling offensive coordinator.

After his season-ending 2-5 stint as an interim head coach under very tough circumstances, it seems a lateral transfer to offensive coordinator is the greatest that awaits him this offseason.
The Buccaneers fired Josh Grizzard after one season. Their earlier two offensive coordinators (Dave Canales and Liam Coen) grew to become head coaches.
