A Mets team that just over a month in the past appeared succesful of rolling through the NL East lost its mojo.
Lack of manufacturing with runners in scoring place and accidents have been the greatest elements in a 10-18 nosedive that started on June 13.
Even so, the Mets will start the post-All Star break on Friday only a half-game behind the first place Phillies in the NL East.
