“NCIS: Hawai’i” is including some star energy for its third season – and it’s a well-known face to viewers of the favored “NCIS” franchise.
LL Cool J will reprise his function of Sam Hanna from “NCIS: Los Angeles,” which wrapped up its 14-year run in March, in a recurring function.
The actor and two-time Grammy Award-winner made a shock cameo look in Monday’s season two finale of the Hawaii-based spinoff, which airs on CBS.
“All of us at NCIS: Hawai’i have been huge fans of LL COOL J for years and couldn’t be more thrilled or honored to be adding his spectacular talent to our ohana for season three,” stated govt producers Matt Bosack, Jan Nash and Christopher Silber in a press release.
Vanessa Lachey performs the lead character of NCIS agent Jane Tennant and echoed the forged and crew’s pleasure.
“One of the most beautiful things about working on NCIS: Hawai’i is the show’s ability to bring the franchise together,” Lachey stated. “We have had so much fun spreading the aloha to NCIS and NCIS: LA with the triple crossover. Now, we have the amazing opportunity to bring Sam Hanna to Hawai’i to help the island solve some cases and maybe have a few laughs in the process. Welcome to the ohana, Todd! It’s going to be a fun ride!”
“Couldn’t keep Sam Hanna off the case for too long!!” the actor wrote on Instagram.
