Second-year OT Armand Membou faces a robust problem this week against Raiders celebrity Maxx Crosby.
“I feel like games like these show you how good you are, going against a great player like him,” Membou said. “I’m definitely very excited for the opportunity. At the same time, I know the workload I’m going to have on Sunday. I’m just getting my mind right.”
Coach Aaron Glenn said he spoke to Membou this week about the matchup and advised the deal with he believes in him.
“There’s going to be times he’s going to be one-on-one, so go be the guy we all know you can be, the guy that trained his ass off during the offseason getting into training camp, and going into now,” Glenn said. “Even though I had that talk with him, he doesn’t need that, he knows exactly what he needs to do and he has all the confidence in the world in himself, and we do too.”
