It will be an Ohio State receiver reunion between former teammates Garrett Wilson and Emeka Egbuka on Sunday afternoon.
Egbuka is off to a quick begin, catching eight passes for 96 yards and three touchdowns for the Buccaneers in the first two video games of his NFL profession.
“It’ll be good to see him. He’s having a great start to his career. I’m happy for him,” Wilson said Thursday.
Egbuka was only a freshman during Wilson’s junior season at Ohio State, half of an absurdly deep receivers room that included Marvin Harrison Jr. of the Cardinals, Chris Olave of the Saints and Jaxon Smith-Njigba of the Seahawks.
Those Buckeyes reached the nationwide championship sport, shedding to Alabama.

“That’s why we chose Ohio State,” the Jets’ No. 1 receiver said. “We all didn’t know it at the time. They built something special over there. All of us were just going about our business, being competitive, being who we are. Five, six years later, I’m looking around the league, and there’s a lot of us. … It was a helluva room.”
Egbuka (hip/groin) hasn’t practiced this week.

Wilson on quarterback and shut pal Justin Fields, who has been dominated out this week due to a concussion:
“I saw him this morning, I saw him [Wednesday]. He’s [doing] well.” Wilson said. “That’s a tough guy. I’m sure they had to tell him, ‘Nah, bro, you can’t [play].’ He’s just a warrior. I’m sure he wants to be out there.”
The Jets could be with out two starters, huge receiver Josh Reynolds (hamstring) and edge rusher Jermaine Johnson (ankle), on Sunday.
Both continued to be out of follow Thursday. Reynolds was inactive in Sunday’s loss to the Bills.
Defensive lineman Jay Tufele (sickness) and operating back/kick returner Kene Nwangwu (hamstring) also remained out.
Safety Tony Adams (hip), cornerback Michael Carter II (shoulder) and linebacker Marcelino McCrary-Ball (hamstring) were all restricted. Adams and Carter didn’t follow Wednesday.
