At the threat of being labeled Captain Obvious, the Knicks want a heart.
They have two pure frontcourt gamers in their 30s — Karl-Anthony Towns, Andre Drummond — and that’s it. One damage would ship the rotation into an undersized mess.
It’s why the training-camp battle between James Wiseman and Drew Eubanks has our consideration. Both veteran facilities will function at the Tarrytown facility on non-guaranteed offers with a very professional likelihood of making the ultimate roster.
With that said, the Knicks also have three guards/wings on non-guaranteed offers — Bruce Brown, Jon Konchar, Ochai Agbaji — who are deserving of final-roster consideration. Brown and Konchar, in specific, are sturdy candidates with established NBA résumés.
