A former English Premier League (EPL) defender and his household were threatened with a knife and robbed of roughly $177,000 value of jewellery at their Portugal home Friday, according to The Sun.
Jan Bednarek, who performs for Portuguese team Porto and beforehand suited up for Aston Villa, reportedly returned home from dinner with his spouse, Julia, and his daughter when they encountered the robber.
They were not harmed, according to the report, and police were called.

Bednarek shared Friday to his Instagram Story a repost of his spouse’s Story exhibiting the couple at what appeared to be an artwork gallery, although the date of the go to is not specified.
It seems he has not commented on the state of affairs on social media.
Bednarek, 30, helped Porto win the Primeira Liga title earlier this month by scoring the lone aim in a 1-0 win over Alverca that secured the championship.
