Seahawks analyst and former NFL fullback Michael Robinson praised quarterback Drew Lock during the team’s preseason opener against the Raiders on Friday night time, only for the announcer jinx to strike a few beats later.
“When you’ve got a veteran quarterback who is your backup quarterback, he’s just not going to put the ball in harm’s way,” Robinson said. “He’s not going to make the critical mistakes that you see young quarterbacks make, especially in the preseason.”

Just two performs later, Lock threw an interception.
He was picked off by Raiders security Isaiah Pola-Mao on a go supposed for Seahawks broad receiver Tory Horton down the left sideline in the first quarter.

“What a play,” Robinson said. “After we just talked about Drew being smart with the football. Right there, just a little bit of an underthrow.”
Lock returned to the Seahawks this offseason on a two-year, $5 million deal after spending last yr with the Giants.
He beforehand performed in Seattle for two seasons in 2022 and 2023 after spending the first three years of his profession with the Broncos.
