The Los Angeles Dodgers have dug themselves into fairly a deep gap.

The Dodgers are now down 3-0 in their NLCS sequence against the Milwaukee Brewers after Wednesday night time’s 6-2 loss.

The last time the Dodgers were down 3-0 in a postseason sequence was 60 years in the past, when they lost the first three video games of the 1966 World Series against the Baltimore Orioles.

The Orioles won Game 4 of that World Series by a rating of 1-0, cementing the sweep against Los Angeles. The legendary Don Drysdale was the shedding pitcher for the Dodgers in that fateful Game 4.

In reality, historical past has been traditionally dangerous for MLB groups who were down three video games in a best-of-seven sequence. Only one team has ever crawled out of that deficit to win a sequence: the Boston Red Sox, who famously did so against the Yankees in the 2004 ALCS.

Aside from that, 41 of the other 42 MLB postseason sequence where a team went up 3-0 has ended with that team advancing. 32 of these have ended in a sweep.

At least Dodgers followers won’t have to wait lengthy to see whether this NLCS sequence becomes No. 33 that ended with a sweep, as Game 4 is arriving on Thursday night time.
